Submissions for our summer issue are now open! The theme is Mythology - be creative; it's open to interpretation! We're looking for anything from stories that build character, traditional myths, their relevance in today's society, architecture, timelessness, and more. As always, we accept art and writing submissions and you can view all the details on our Submit page. The deadline is May 31 so we can get this issue in your hands for the summer.
We are thrilled to announce the long-awaited release of our spring issue: Growth. Among the pages you'll find house plant advice, musing on Angela Carter, an interview with Lara Bispinck and our spring playlist, plus lots more. Our Growth collection features your lovely submissions, as always. Download the digital version here or buy the print!
Submissions are now closed for our upcoming GROWTH Issue. If you submitted work, please allow one week for a response, and stay tuned for more updates regarding the issue!
Thistle lovelies, we have some news to share with you.
Submissions are now open for our 14th issue. The theme is Growth and we'll be posting all kinds of inspiration on our Tumblr and we've already started pinning visual inspiration to our Pinterest. Head on over to our submit page for all the guidelines and the submission form
After lots of hard work behind the scenes with our new team we're ready to share our refreshed look with you.
Since we didn't want to keep you waiting until our next full-length issue next Spring, we put all this new energy into our mini staff-driven issue. It contains writing, artwork, and photography by all of Thistle's team members so you can find out who we are and how we get creative.
To keep in line with our previous releases, there's still a while to wait until we start accepting submissions and creating content for our first rebranded Spring issue.
In the meantime, we've decided to create a mini-issue for you to provide a glimpse of what's to come. Since this mini-issue's theme is Portraits, it will include personal stories and articles from our new team, as well as our own artwork and photography. This way, we can showcase our new look and you can get to know us a little bit better, too.
The Portraits issue release date is October 2nd.
